President Muhammadu Buhari, on Thursday, inaugurated the complex of the Body of Benchers (BoB) in Abuja.
The Body of Benchers is the legal body of practitioners of the highest distinction in the legal profession, and their responsibilities include supervising the formal call to the bar, as well as disciplining of erring lawyers.
Others in attendance at the unveiling ceremony were Nyesom Wike, governor of Rivers; Olukayode Ariwoola, chief justice of Nigeria (CJN); Wole Olanipekun, chairman, Body of Benchers; and Ibrahim Gambari, chief of staff.
Babatunde Fashola, minister of works and housing, and Muhammad Bello, minister of the federal capital territory (FCT), also attended the event.
