President Muhamamdu Buhari on Wednesday received Antonio Guterres, the United Nations secretary-general, at the presidential villa, Abuja.
The UN scribe arrived at the villa at 3:00 pm, where he was welcomed by the president.
The two leaders subsequently went into a closed session, where they are expected to deliberate on issues surrounding security and the humanitarian crisis in the north-east and some parts of Nigeria.
Guterres is expected to brief state house correspondents at the end of his meeting with the president.
