President Muhammadu Buhari has returned to Nigeria after spending four days in Portugal on a state visit.
The president left for Portugal on Tuesday, and returned to Abuja on Saturday.
According to a statement by Garba Shehu, presidential spokesman, Buhari was invited by President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa of Portugal.
While in Portugal, Buhari attended the 2022 United Nations (UN) ocean conference, met with Carlos Moedas, mayor of Lisbon, and was also presented the ‘key of the city of Lisbon’.

He also received the Portugese national honour in Lisbon.
During Buhari’s visit in Portugal, several memoranda of understanding were also signed, including on political consultations, diplomatic training, cooperation in the field of culture, and women and girls development.
