President Muhammadu Buhari has sworn in Olukayode Ariwoola as acting chief justice of Nigeria (CJN).
The swearing-in ceremony took place at the council chamber of the presidential villa in Abuja.
The acting CJN takes over from Ibrahim Muhammad, who resigned earlier on Monday.
Among those present were Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo; Boss Mustapha, secretary to the government of the federation; Usman Baba, inspector-general of police (IGP), and Abubakar Malami, attorney-general of the federation.
