President Muhammadu Buhari visited Bauchi on Thursday to commiserate with the people of the state over the calamities that befell them recently.
While a windstorm reportedly destroyed 1,505 houses, mainly in the state capital, killed eight persons and injured 120 others, a fire outbreak in Azare, a major town, destroyed the market in the town.
Speaking at the palace of the emir of Bauchi, Buhari urged those affected not to lose faith, but consider the calamities as an act of God.
Buhari was recieved by the state Governor, Mohammed Abubakar.
