Obiora Egwuatu, a judge at the federal high court in Abuja, has struck out charges filed against 119 #EndBadGovernance protesters.
Many of those arraigned on November 1 were minors who looked malnourished and ill. Four of the minors collapsed in the courtroom on the day.
At the court session on Tuesday, Mohammed Abubakar, counsel from the office of the attorney-general of the federation (AGF), filed an application to take over the case from the inspector-general of police (IGP).
He also sought a discontinuance of the case pursuant to Section 174 of the constitution.

Femi Falana and Hamza Kyari, lawyers representing the defendants, did not oppose the applications.
