The 28th Conference of Parties (COP28) organised by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), began on Thursday in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
From November 30 to December 12, world leaders, policy analysts, international organisations, and relevant stakeholders will hold talks at the conference to propose solutions on how to limit global temperature rise to 1.5 degrees.
At the opening ceremony on Thursday, Sultan Al-Jaber, COP28 president, said he would work to ensure that climate finance is unlocked for developing countries during his tenure.
