Ibraheem El-Zakzaky, leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN), has been conferred with an honourary doctorate degree by the University of Tehran, Iran.
El-Zakzaky, who was accompanied by his wife to receive the honour on Saturday, used the occasion to share insights into his five-decade-long advocacy, emphasising his desire for a low profile.
He is currently visiting Iran, where he had the opportunity to meet with Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the supreme leader of the Islamic Revolution.
