PHOTOS: Empty churches as Christians celebrate Easter at home over COVID-19

Empty Cathedral of St. Michael, Church of Nigeria, (Anglican Communion) Kaduna

Churches in Lagos, Abuja and some parts of the country were deserted as Christians marked this year’s Easter celebrations.

As parts of measures to check the spread of coronavirus, President Muhammadu Buhari had ordered lockdown in Ogun, Lagos and Abuja.

Large gatherings were also banned while task force teams were set up to ensure compliance with the directive.
