PHOTOS: Empty streets as Kano lockdown takes effect

Residents of Kano are complying with the total lockdown imposed by Abdullahi Ganduje, governor of the state.

Ganduje ordered a lockdown after the state recorded five cases of coronavirus. From five, the cases rose to 21 within two days and the death of one of the patients was recorded.

On Friday, TheCable went round to monitor the level of compliance. Major markets and motor parks were shut. The Kano Central Mosque beside the emir’s palace was also empty.
