Odion Ighalo, former Super Eagles striker, has been appointed a flagship ambassador of the national Principals Cup.
The ex-Manchester United player was unveiled at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja on Tuesday.
Present at the unveiling ceremony were Sunday Dare, minister for youths and sports development; Daniel Amokachi, ex-Super Eagles forward and other dignitaries.
The national Principals Cup, which was rebooted in 2021 after 25 years hiatus, used to be a significant talent pipe for the Nigeria football scene.

The competition produced several of the country’s football legends including Segun Odegbami, Daniel Amokachi, Henry Nwosu, etc.
