Usman Baba, inspector-general of police (IGP), on Thursday, met with representatives of political parties across the country.
The meeting comes amid concerns over violence during campaigns for the 2023 general election.
The meeting, which held at the force headquarters in Abuja, also had in attendance national commissioners of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and heads of security agencies.
According to a tweet by the police, the meeting was organised to address the issues of political intolerance and violence ahead of the 2023 polls.
