Amnesty International supporters and volunteers from different parts of Nigeria staged a demonstration to the embassy of Saudi Arabia in Abuja, calling for justice for Jamal Khashoggi, the journalist murdered at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, Turkey.
Human right groups, including Amnesty International, have been calling for justice for the deceased and his family.
“We are calling for a UN investigation of his murder so that those responsible can be brought to book,” the activists said during the protest.
“His murder is a sign of growing repsression and hostility towards journalists.”
