Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, a former governor of Kano state, visited the state on Monday, after a prolonged absence.
He met with his supporters and associates at his private residence on Miller road, Fagge, Kano.
TheCable learnt he arrived for the meeting in the morning, and left immediately after.
Kwankwaso, who currently represents Kano central, has avoided the state — except for a few occasions — since he handed over in 2015.

This is as a result of a running battle he has had with Abdullahi Ganduje, his successor.
Interestingly, Ganduje was Kwankwaso’s deputy for eight years but both men fell apart shortly after the governor assumed office.
A presidential aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kwankwaso declared his presidential ambition in Abuja, and has not had any campaign rally in the state.
