Senate President Ahmad Lawan on Thursday flagged off the construction of the Wachakal airstrip in Karasuwa LGA of Yobe state.
Mai Mala Buni, Yobe state governor; Hadi Sirika, minister of aviation; and Ahmed Ibrahim, speaker, Yobe house of assembly, were present at the ceremony.
