Members of organised labour have been enforcing the indefinite strike in Lagos.

The unions declared the strike over a new minimum wage and electricity tariff hike.

On Monday, public secondary and primary schools across Lagos were shuttered due to the strike.

Students and pupils who were not aware that schools would be affected, were turned back at the gates.

When TheCable visited the domestic airport, all the gates were locked, with passengers left stranded.

However, the strike did not ground activities at the international airport.

TheCable understands that the labour unions would enforce the strike at the international airport on Tuesday.
