PHOTOS: Makinde, Aiyedatiwa, Dangote present as Saraki buries mother in Lagos

Former Senate President Bukola Saraki and Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest man, at the burial ceremony.

Lucky Aiyedatiwa, governor of Ondo, and Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest man, were present at the funeral of Florence Saraki, the late mother of former Senate President Bukola Saraki.

Saraki’s mother died on June 18 at the age of 88, a few weeks before her 89th birthday.

Since her demise, the former governor of Kwara state has been hosting visitors on condolence visits to his family.

Remi Tinubu, the first lady, was one of the dignitaries who visited the Saraki family in Lagos earlier in the week.

On Thursday, the likes of Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 elections, and Emmanuel Udom, a former governor of Akwa Ibom, were present at the service of songs that was held at the Eko Convention Centre in Lagos state for the deceased.

Also, Seyi Makinde, governor of Oyo; Dapo Abiodun, governor of Ogun; Ademola Adeleke, governor of Osun; Godwin Obaseki, governor of Edo; Umo Eno, governor of Akwa Ibom; and James Ibori, a former governor of Delta, were also present at the event.

Others were Steve Oronsaye, a former head of the civil service of the federation; Lai Mohammed, a former minister of information and culture; Rotimi Amaechi, a former minister of transportation; Uche Secondus, a former chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP); and Osita Ngwu, the senator representing Enugu west.
