PHOTOS: Massive crowd welcomes Buhari to Kano

Hundreds of thousands of supporters of the All Progressive Congress (APC) trooped out to welcome President Muhammadu Buhari in Kano on Thursday.

People lined on the streets from Malam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA) to the palace of the emir of Kano.

Buhari paid a courtesy visit to Muhammad Sanusi, emir of Kano, before heading to Sani Abacha Stadium, venue of the campaign.

Kano is the stronghold of the president.
