On Tuesday, Senate President Godswill Akpabio unveiled the principal officers of the upper legislative chamber.
Akpabio announced Opeyemi Bamidele, senator representing Ekiti central, as the majority leader, and David Umahi, representing Ebonyi south, as the deputy majority leader.
Ali Ndume, senator representing Borno south, was named as chief whip while Lola Ashiru, lawmaker representing Kwara south, as deputy chief whip.
