PHOTOS: NAF airlifts election materials to Edo

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has commenced the airlifting of election materials for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to Edo state.

The Edo state governorship election will hold on September 21.

In a statement on Wednesday, Kabiru Ali, NAF deputy director of public relations, said the airlifting of the election materials follows the pledge of Hasan Abubakar, chief of air staff, to Mahmood Yakubu, INEC chair.

“This airlift demonstrates the NAF’s commitment to fulfilling its constitutional role of providing Military Aid to Civil Authority,” the statement reads.
