The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) says it has received 180 Nigerians repatriated from Niamey, Niger Republic.
In an X post on Wednesday, NEMA said the International Organization for Migration (IOM) facilitated the repatriation.
The agency noted that the returnees, who arrived in Kano on Tuesday, include 122 male adults, 18 male children, three male infants, 28 female adults, five female children, and four female infants.
NEMA added that some of the returnees reported malaria and other minor health concerns, which were promptly attended to by medical personnel.

“On March 18, 2025, the NEMA Kano office played a crucial role in receiving 180 vulnerable Nigerians returning from Niamey, Niger Republic, the post reads.
“Upon arrival, they were transported to the Nigerian Immigration Training School in the late hours of March 18, where profiling and documentation were conducted the following day, March 19.”
