The Nizamiye Hospital Abuja has joined the world in celebrating International Women’s Day.

March 8 is set aside yearly to celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women.

In a statement to mark the day, the hospital acknowledged that the role of women in society has ensured the stability, progress, and long-term development of nations.

“As a hospital, we join millions of others to celebrate International Women’s Day. We believe in the ability of women to make positive inputs in the workplace and this much we have experienced in the workforce of the hospital,” the statement read.

“We wish to use this occasion of the International Women’s Day to extend our appreciation to all the women in our employ contributing their quota towards delivering world-class medical services.”
