PHOTOS: Obi presents cheques to university, hospital in Anambra

Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), on Thursday, made donations to Regina Caeli Specialist Hospital and Paul University in Awka, capital of Anambra state.

The LP standard bearer announced the visit to the hospital and church in a post on Twitter.

Obi said he visited the hospital to “support the healthcare delivery to the people”.

“As part of my commitment to a better and more progressive society, I visited Regina Caeli Specialist Hospital, Awka today, where I presented a cheque, to support the healthcare delivery to the people,” Obi said.

“Supporting education and health, due to their critical roles in the development of any nation, have remained my culture over the years. I strongly desire to see a developed and progressive Nigeria.”

Meanwhile, on his visit to Paul University, the LP candidate, said “investment in human resources remains the surest way to achieving a developed society”.

“Earlier today, I was at Paul University, Awka where I made a financial commitment to the growth of education in the institution. I have always maintained that investment in human resources remains the surest way to achieving a developed society,” he said.
