Orji Uzor Kalu, senate chief whip, was among those who attended the All Progressive Congress (APC) national executive committee (NEC) meeting at Aso Rock on Thursday.
Kalu, who was released from prison three weeks ago, joined the NEC meeting where the decision to dissolve the national working committee of the ruling party was taken.
A caretaker committee led by Mai Buni, governor of Yobe state, was appointed to take control of the party.
