Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, on Monday, represented President Muhammadu Buhari at the All Nigeria Judges’ Conference in Abuja.
Also in attendance were Tanko Muhammad, chief justice of Nigeria (CJN); Mary Odili, justice of the supreme court, and Oniofiok Luke, lawmaker representing Etinan/Nsit Ibom/Nsit Ubium in Akwa Ibom, who represented Femi Gbajabiamila, speaker of the house of representatives.
Speaking at the conference, Buhari assured the judges of his administration’s continuous support for the judiciary.
“The federal government will continue to support efforts and reforms that safeguard the integrity of the Nigerian judiciary, its independence from all forms of interference, and ensure it maintains the highest level of responsiveness and professional standards,” he said.
