Yusuf Buhari has been turbaned as the Talban Daura and district head of Kwasarawa community.
In line with tradition, Yusuf, son of President Muhammadu Buhari, was turbaned by Farouk Umar, the Emir of Daura.
The event, which was attended by prominent politicians and other dignitaries in the country, was held on Saturday in the president’s hometown.
In his address, Umar said Yusuf deserved to be appointed as district head considering the developmental strides brought to the emirate by his father.

He said in his new role, Yusuf would visit Daura regularly and participate in the activities of the emirate council.
Yusuf is also expected to contribute his quota towards the development of the area.
In attendance at the event were Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, Ahmad Lawan, senate president; Femi Gbajabiamila, speaker of the house of representatives; Aminu Masari, governor of Katsina; Abdullahi Ganduje, governor of Kano; Hadi Sirika, minister of aviation, among others.
