Former Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo and Peter Obi, Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate in the 2023 election, attended the International Leaders Forum (ILF) in Chicago.
The 11th ILF holds on the sidelines of the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Illinois from August 19-22.
Hosted by the National Democratic Institute (NDI) every four years since 1984, the forum brings together senior politicians and policy-makers from around the world to observe the American democratic process.
Obi said he was invited “along with two other eminent Nigerians, and about two hundred other distinguished political leaders from over 91 countries, including former Heads of Governments”.

“I am honoured and grateful to Senator Thomas Daschle and the Board of NDI for the gracious invitation.”
Obi said the ILF offers leaders from Africa’s evolving democracies an opportunity to share their experiences and learn from others.
