Godwin Obaseki, governor of Edo state, led some leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo state to the presidential villa in Abuja, on Friday.

The visit is his first to Aso Rock after winning Saturday’s governorship election.

A former member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Obaseki defected to the PDP after he was screened out of the APC governorship race.

Tom Ikimi, a prominent PDP chieftain, was among those in Obaseki’s delegation. Federal lawmakers from Edo who are also PDP members accompanied the governor to the seat of power.
