Members of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN), on Thursday, held a protest to condemn oil theft in the country.
The protesters commenced the march from the unity fountain in Abuja, bearing placards with varying inscriptions.
They called on the government to take urgent proactive measures to curb the menace, which they claimed had “crumbled” the economy.
Speaking at the protest, Festus Osifo, PENGASSAN president, said President Muhammadu Buhari should give a marching order to security agencies tasked with protecting oil pipelines in the Niger Delta.
