PHOTOS: Police in ‘full display of force’ ahead of planned protest in Lagos

Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos police command on Wednesday were in full display of might ahead of the planned protest on August 1.

The armed officers were seen jogging and singing in full armour as they marched to different locations in anticipation of the protest organised against the pervasive economic hardship in Nigeria.

During the protest, the officers would stand in Ikeja, Old Toll Gate, Oshodi, Ojota, Iyana Oworo, Third Mainland Bridge, VI, Ikoyi, Lekki, Lagos Island, and Apongbon.

The team of police officers was led by Shola Jejeloye, the commander of the RRS, while Adetayo Akerele captained the operatives of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation and Special Offenses Unit (Taskforce), who were also part of the drilling.
