PHOTOS: Sanusi’s mother at Awe before son’s departure

The mother of Muhammad Sanusi, deposed emir of Kano, visited her son at Awe, the Nasarawa town where he was banished to after his dethronement.

Dressed in a red gown, the former emir’s mother was accompanied by two ladies. Shortly after meeting with her son, Sanusi departed the town in the company of Nasir el-Rufai, governor of Kaduna state.
