PHOTOS: Sanwo-Olu inspects Apongbon fire scene, says evacuation ultimatum stands

Babajide Sanwo-Olu, governor of Lagos, on Monday, inspected the scene of the Apongbon fire incident.

There was a fire at the Apongbon area on March 23, which also affected a section of the Eko Bridge.

Following the incident, traders doing business under all bridges in the state were asked to vacate the areas within seven days or face forceful eviction.

During the visit to Apongbon on Monday, Sanwo-Olu was accompanied by Obafemi Hamzat, deputy governor of Lagos; Oke Osanyintolu, permanent secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), as well as other government officials.

Speaking during the visit, Sanwo-Olu insisted that the evacuation ultimatum stands.
