Vice-President Kashim Shettima on Tuesday led some All Progressives Congress (APC) governors and party leaders to the swearing-in ceremony of Monday Okpebholo as Edo governor.
Okpebholo, a serving senator, was sworn in as the governor in Benin City, the state capital.
Governors in attendance were Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos; Dapo Abiodun of Ogun; AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara; Hope Uzodimma of Imo; and Bassey Otu of Cross River.
Other dignitaries were Abdullahi Ganduje, national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Barau Jibrin, deputy senate president; Benjamin Kalu, deputy speaker of house of representatives; Adams Oshiomhole, the senator representing Edo north and Opeyemi Bamidele, majority leader of the senate.
