South-west governors and prominent traditional rulers in the region converged in Ibadan, Oyo state capital, for a security meeting on Saturday.
The meeting took place at the governor’s office in Agodi.
Those present were Rotimi Akeredolu, governor of Ondo state; Kayode Fayemi, governor of Ekiti state; Dapo Abiodun, governor of Ogun state; Seyi Makinde, governor of Oyo state and Gboyega Oyetola, governor of Osun.
Traditional rulers in attendance include Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ooni of Ife; Lamidi Adeyemi, Alaafin of Oyo; Saliu Adetunji, Olubadan of Ibadan; Babatunde Ajayi, Akarigbo of Remo; Fredrick Akinruntan, Olugbo of Ugboland and Francis Alao, Olugbon of Orile-Igbon.

David Folawiyo, deputy inspector general of police; Ngozi Onadeko, Oyo commissioner of police; Adesoji Ogunsugba, garrison commander, II division of the Nigerian army, were also present at the meeting.
The stakeholders are expected to discuss various security issues confronting south-west states.
