PUNCH Nigeria Limited, a foremost print and online media group, on Thursday held a public lecture in Lagos to celebrate its 50th anniversary.
The lecture was part of a week-long activities marking the golden jubilee of the newspaper establishment.
The event was held at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island.
Wole Soyinka, the Nobel laureate, was a guest speaker at the lecture that had politicians, academics, and other dignitaries from different works of life in attendance.

Rotimi Amaechi, a former minister of transportation, Bayo Onanuga, special adviser on information and strategy, to President Bola Tinubu, and Mohammed Idris, minister of information and national orientation, were also present.
Other personalities in attendance include Toyin Saraki, founder, The Wellbeing Foundation Africa; Nike Akande, former minister of industry; Ishaq Oloyede, registrar, Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB); Reuben Abati, former spokesperson to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan; among others.
