President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday night met with governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and members of the national assembly.
The meeting was held at the Aso Rock villa.
Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Ahmad Lawan, Femi Gbajabiamila, speaker of the house of representatives, and Abdullahi Adamu, national chairman of the ruling party, were all in attendance.
Though the agenda of the meeting was not known, it was said to be connected to talks that will produce presiding officers in the senate and the house of representatives.

The ruling party has since nominated Godswill Akpabio, a former minister of Niger Delta affairs, and Barau Jibrin, senator representing Kano north, as senate president and deputy respectively.
In the lower legislative chamber, Tajudeen Abbas, lawmaker from Kaduna, and Benjamin Kalu, lawmaker from Imo, were nominated as speaker and deputy.
