Tracka, a civil tech platform that tracks the implementation of government projects, has organised town hall meetings in Lagos to educate residents on tracking public expenditure.
The series of town hall meetings was initiated to guide citizens on how to monitor government projects in their communities.
The initiative was organised in partnership with BudgIT and Oxfam.
Two town hall meetings have been held so far in February, one in Isolo, Oshodi-Isolo LGA, and the other in Ajah, Eti-Osa LGA.

Speaking at the Isolo town hall meeting, Kayode Oseni, Lagos state officer for Tracka, educated the participants on how to engage with state and federal lawmakers at the constituency offices.
Oseni also taught the participants how to use the Tracka mobile app and the govspend website to track disbursements of public funds for projects.
He encouraged the participants to get involved in political engagement in their local communities as active citizens.
