Presidential hopefuls of south-east extraction from different political parties, on Monday, attended a conference organised by the Nzuko Umunna, an Igbo think-tank.
The conference, which featured discussions on why the south-east should produce the next president, held at the International Conference Centre in Abuja.
Presidential hopefuls present included David Umahi, governor of Ebonyi; Chris Ngige, minister of labour and employment; Rochas Okorocha, senator representing Imo west and former Imo governor; Peter Obi, former governor of Anambra; and Anyim Pius Anyim, former senate president.
Also present were Ayo Adebanjo, Afenifere leader; Victor Umeh, former chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA); and Okwesiliezie Nwodo, former governor of Enugu and chairman of the Greater Nigeria Group.
