PHOTOS: Women Connect celebrates ‘exceptional female leaders’

Women Connect, an initiative that seeks to inspire women, has celebrated “exceptional” female entrepreneurs and leaders.

The initiative, in its awards and exhibition programme, tagged ‘Amazon Women of the Year’, said the women have shown excellence in their areas of endeavour.

The awards and exhibition programme, which is the first organised by Women Connect, was held on Saturday, at Durban International Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos state.

Oyinlola Sale, the convener, said the programme was designed to showcase the efforts of women in leadership positions.

“The Women Connect awards and exhibition was created to celebrate exceptional women in the society,” she said.

“Women are doing phenomenal things in food, health, oil and gas, education, and the financial sector. They are doing amazing things so we decided to showcase them.”
