PHOTOS: Yari, el-Rufai, Yahaya Bello present as Matawalle joins APC

Bello Matawalle, governor of Zamfara, on Tuesday officially defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Matawalle was presented with the APC flag by Mai Mala Buni, governor of Yobe and chairman of the APC caretaker committee at a rally in Gusau.

Present at the rally alongside other APC stakeholders included Nasir el-Rufai, Yahaya Bello, Abdullahi Ganduje, Babagana Zulum and Simon Lalong — governors of Kaduna, Kogi, Kano, Borno and Plateau respectively.

Also present was Abdulaziz Yari, immediate past governor of Zamfara.
