Olayinka Agboola, publisher, Parrot Xtra Magazine, has been honoured by the Sultan Bello Hall of the University of Ibadan, his alma mater.
Agboola was honoured by the hall, where he spent his undergraduate days, in recognition of his achievements and contribution to Nigeria.
He was awarded a “worthy ambassador” at the Ivory Tower Awards and Distinguished Lectures themed: ‘Nigeria at 58: Prospects Beyond The Golden Jubilee, Place of The Youths’.
Professors Soji Adejumo and Dipo Otolorin and Olasupo Abiodun, lawmaker representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa federal constituency, expounded on the topic.

Agboola was in Sultan Bello Hall between 1985 and 1989 while he was a student in the department of archaeology and anthropology in the institution’s faculty of arts.
The Ibadan-born journalist worked at Fame Magazine, Ovation Magazine, Thisday Newspaper, Eko FM Radio, Sketch and Nigerian Tribune Newspapers before he floated Parrot Xtra Magazine and PMParrot.com.
