The Enugu police command says its operatives have arrested 12 suspects over the death of four persons in two communities in Ezeagu LGA of the state.
Daniel Ndukwe, Enugu police spokesperson, in a statement on Sunday, said the four persons were killed as a result of a communal clash between Oyofo and Awha communities in Ezeagu LGA of the state.
Ndukwe said the clash between the two communities took place on Friday at about 10 am.
“The Commissioner of Police, Mr Ahmed Ammani, has ordered the deployment of police operatives to Oyofo and Awha communities. The deployment is to maintain the normalcy already restored in the area after the clash,” NAN quoted Ndukwe as saying.
