The Ondo state police command says it has arrested one Adetokunbo Adeojoa, a 59-year-old man, for allegedly stealing a vehicle at Igoba in Akure north LGA of the state.

Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, the police spokesperson, in a statement on Monday, said officers swung into action immediately after the case of car theft was reported.

She said the vehicle was recovered in Kano state where the suspect had taken it for sale.

“But they were unable to sell the car because the buyer insisted on the original copies of the car documents, while they were trying to forge the document in Kaduna,” the police spokesperson said.
