Ayuba added that operatives seized a printing machine allegedly used by the printer in printing security threads on counterfeit currencies and recovered 300 million CFA and N9 million, suspected to be counterfeit.

She said the suspects have confessed to various roles in the alleged crime noting that the printer admitted to having been in currency counterfeiting for over three years.

“His confession led to the arrest of the couple, who are partners in the crime,” she said.
