The Anambra police command says its operatives have arrested four suspected kidnappers in Ihiala LGA of the state
A statement on Friday by Tochukwu Ikenga, police spokesperson in the state, said the suspects identified as Chimezie Ezebuo, Chinaza Ndimani, Chinecherem Okafor, and Nzube Azubuike were arrested on Thursday.
Ikenga noted that the personnel also recovered phones and SIM cards allegedly used by the suspects to threaten their victims.
“Anambra state police command notes the improved security stability in Ihiala and appreciates the good people of Ihiala for their cooperation and resilience in identifying the bad elements in the area,” the statement reads.

“On 10th April 2025 by 2.53 pm, our operatives arrested four suspects namely —Chimezie Ezebuo, Chinaza Ndimani, Chinecherem Okafor and Nzube Azubuike all males and from Okohia, Ihiala.
“The operatives recovered phones and SIM cards used by the suspects to threaten their victims thereby causing panic in the area and jeopardizing the efforts of the security agencies and the general security of the state.
“Meanwhile, all the suspects confessed to the crime and were taken into custody for further interrogations.
