The police command in Anambra says its operatives have arrested members of a suspected gun-running syndicate in the state.
Toochukwu Ikenga, the police spokesperson, said three of the suspects were arrested in the Onitsha area of the state.
Ikenga said 23 automatic pump action guns and 625 live cartridges were recovered from the suspects.
“Three suspected members of the syndicate were arrested in Onitsha while investigation is being expanded,’’ Ikenga said.
