The Lagos police command says its operatives have arrested one Monday Alfred for allegedly being in possession of human parts.

Alfred, 31, was said to have been arrested on Wednesday at about 2.15 p.m. by a patrol team from the Imota division, on Ori-Okuta old Shagamu road.

Benjamin Hundeyin, the command’s spokesperson, said the suspect, who was riding a motorcycle with another person, was arrested after the police gave him a hot chase.

Hundeyin said the motorcycle, a Tecno and one Vivo mobile phone were recovered from the suspect, noting that police were intensifying efforts to apprehend another suspect who escaped.

“One of the suspects jumped down and ran into the bush as soon as they were stopped by the patrol team,” he said.

“They were given a hot chase, which led to the arrest of Monday Alfred of Isale-Aye Araromi Imota, who was the motorcycle rider.

“Upon a thorough search of the black sack found with them, two cut hands suspected to be human parts, were found in a liquid suspected to be alcohol in a plastic bucket.”
