The Anambra police command says its operatives have arrested Pablo Mamu, a notorious kidnapper, in the Ihiala area of the state.
Tochukwu Ikenga, the police spokesperson in Anambra, said in a statement on Thursday that operatives also recovered one OFN rifle, a locally made pistol, live 9mm ammunition, eight live cartridges, and one black Lexus 330 Jeep with different plate numbers.
Ikenga said the suspect was arrested on Monday by a joint team of the police and the Anambra Vigilante Group (AVG) following credible intelligence.
He added that Nnaghe Itam, the commissioner of police in Anambra, commended the operatives for their efforts while calling for stronger synergy between the agencies.
