Police arrest suspect for ‘issuing fake employment letters’ in Kaduna

The Kaduna Electric company says a suspected employment racketeer, identified as Abdulrahman Junaid, has been arrested for issuing fake employment letters to job seekers in the state.

In a statement on Tuesday, Abdulazeez Abdullahi, head of corporate communication at the organisation, said the police was alerted after two job seekers, identified as Abdullahi Abubakar and Isiya iliyasu, presented the fake letters to the company.

Abdullahi said after receiving the letters, two young men came to the company for documentation as new employees of the Zaria regional office.

He said the security division of the company partnered with the police to trace the suspect to Funtua in Katsina state.
