The Zamfara police command says it has arrested two persons conveying ammunition along the Gusau-Wanke-Dansadau road in the state.

Mohammed Shehu, the command’s public relations officer, said the suspects were arrested on January 8, at about 11pm by a police tactical team.

He said Emmanuel Emmanuel and Nana Ibrahim, the suspects, had 325 rounds of live ammunition and one AK 47 rifle magazine with them.

Shehu said the arrest was sequel to intelligence received about arms being supplied from Benue to a bandits’ camp in Zamfara.
